Statistics about the simulation steps executed by the last call to
RapierContextSimulation::step_simulation, i.e., during the last physics update.
The step count and time are measured by bevy_rapier and always available. The other
statistics are read from the PhysicsPipeline::counters after each step, and are only
measured while these counters are enabled (e.g. by the
RapierDiagnosticsPlugin). The other
timings also require the profiler feature. In SimulationMode::CollisionOnly, only the
contact pairs are counted besides the steps.
Fields§
§num_steps: usizeThe number of simulation steps (including substeps) executed.
step_time_ms: f64The total wall-clock time spent running the simulation steps, in milliseconds.
collision_detection_time_ms: f64Time spent on collision detection (broad-phase and narrow-phase), in milliseconds.
broad_phase_time_ms: f64Time spent in the broad-phase, in milliseconds.
narrow_phase_time_ms: f64Time spent in the narrow-phase, in milliseconds.
island_construction_time_ms: f64Time spent building the simulation islands, in milliseconds.
solver_time_ms: f64Time spent in the constraints solver, in milliseconds.
ccd_time_ms: f64Time spent on Continuous Collision Detection, in milliseconds.
update_time_ms: f64Time spent updating the rigid-bodies’ positions and velocities, in milliseconds.
ccd_substeps: usizeThe number of CCD substeps executed (zero on the steps where the CCD didn’t need to act).
num_contact_pairs: usizeThe number of contact pairs tracked by the narrow-phase (touching or not) after the last step.
num_solver_constraints: usizeThe number of contact manifolds and impulse joints handed to the constraints solver, summed over the steps. The contacts and joints of sleeping bodies aren’t counted.
num_solver_contacts: usizeThe number of contact points handed to the constraints solver, soft-body contacts included, summed over the steps.
